The Victorian Pharmacy Authority Standards (“the Standards”) were published in the Government Gazette No. G 19 Thursday 12 May 2022 (see pages 2435-2440).

The Standards

• have been approved by the Victorian Minister for Health;
• commence on 12 May 2022; and
• apply to all registered premises in Victoria, except where specifically excluded.

Licensees are responsible for meeting the Standards.

The VPA Guidelines

• represent the current policies of the Authority;
• support the Standards and the requirements of the Pharmacy Regulation Act 2010; and
• should be read in conjunction with
  • the Standards
  • guidelines issued by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
  • standards and guidelines issued by pharmacy professional organisations
